Vood Food App and Website deliver food from 5 vegan restaurants in the same order.
Vood targets specifically vegan users of the Colombian city of Cali. The app and site belong to the Group Five Rabbits and deliver food from four vegan restaurants in the city.
The first two problems that I encountered are: There are a number of apps that offer vegan options in restaurants in the area, so Vood has already lots of competitors. The other main problem is connecting these five restaurants to deliver on time and work together to offer the best experience to the customer. I started by asking myself a few initial questions.
Who is our primary user?
What kind of goals do they have?
What kind of goals do they have?
After interviewing the participants to establish archetypes, later on, it became evident that the goals they wanted to accomplish all fell within the same categories; finding a variety of vegan food and guaranteeing that everything delivered is 100% vegan.
I analysed competitors’ key objectives, marketing profile, overall strategy, created both SWOT and UX analyses.
My research started with understanding users’ needs and attitudes. I focused on what users want, specifically regarding the preferred way to order online.
These are the highlights of the insights I discovered when working through the questionnaire results and feedback.
1
When ordering from not vegan restaurants, most participants call the restaurant to double check their food is completely vegan
2
65% order online at least once a week
3
Most participants deliver online beacause they feel tired and don’t want to cook
4
80% of participants repeat they order due to the lack of options
Before moving on high-fidelity wireframes and mockups, I took some time to get my ideas on paper, this process helps me get into the design state of mind.

After card sketching, I started with low-fidelity wireframes. The wireframes will be tested by users to identify pain points and optimise the design.
After creating our prototype from low-fidelity wireframes, and the results obtained with the usability test I started with the next set of design iterations.
